On October, 7, 1949, Dr George D Ludwig has been developped a new techique for detection and localisation of the gallstones or other foreign bodies lodged in the soft tissues of the body; ultrasound is a type of imaging, that uses high-frequency sound waves to look at organs and structures inside the body; health care professionals use it to view the heart, blood vessels, kidneys, liver, and other organs.
